An investigation of the Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of Graphene-Oxide Thin Films Using Different Solvents

Abstract Graphene oxide (GO) thin films were prepared successfully using modified Hummer’s method, which includes oxidation of graphite and reduction to graphene at room temperature. Then; the samples deposited on glass substrates sol-gel technique. Different solutions have been used obtain such as Ethanol, Acetone, Deionized Water. The structural, optical electrical properties diagnosed studied microscope XRD diffraction, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) UV-Vis spectrophotometer respectively. pattern confirmed formation with a sharp peak an angle 2θ=11.42°. Thicknesses weight method calculated. In addition, transmittance, reflectance, refractive index, extinction coefficient, energy gap measured. band dissolved in acetone, deionized water ethanol has measured about 2.5, 2.45 2.35 eV
